Environmental Quality Incentives Program

The Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) is a voluntary program that provides financial and technical assistance to agricultural producers through contracts up to a maximum term of ten years in length. Purpose is to provide technical and financial assistance to landowners to develop and implement conservation plans that address specific natural resource concerns. Practices include livestock manure management, grazing land management, soil erosion control, and water quality improvement practices are eligible for financial assistance statewide. Agricultural producers on agricultural land are eligible. Projects are selected based on environmental benefits.
